The 80/35 Music Festival first graced the streets of downtown Des Moines in 2008. Inspired by the goal of promoting music discovery and bringing new sounds to the city, the festival quickly became a catalyst for revitalization and inspiration. Each year, 45+ acts take the stage.
The festival’s name, 80/35, pays homage to the two prominent interstates that intersect in Des Moines: I-80 and I-35.
This festival is a celebration of art, food, and community. In addition to the main stage, the festival features several smaller stages, each highlighting regional and local talent.
But it doesn’t stop there. The festival grounds are filled with booths from local organizations, interactive art installations, and a wide variety of food and beverage vendors. And don’t forget to explore the Vintage & Craft Marketplace, where you can discover unique handmade goods and vintage treasures.
Families are welcome at the 80/35 Music Festival, and the Kids Zone is the perfect place for children to have a blast. With free activities for kids of all ages!
