The Fargo Blues Festival takes place at the Newman Outdoor Field, home to the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, a professional minor league baseball club. This picturesque venue provides the perfect backdrop for a day filled with soulful blues music. The field offers ample space for festival-goers to spread out and enjoy the music in a relaxed and comfortable setting.
The festival’s national exposure and reputation for featuring top-notch performers have earned it recognition as one of the best blues festivals in the country. The festival operates on a first-come, first-serve basis, so early arrival is recommended. Seating is available in the bleachers, or attendees can stand in the shade on the concourse. Bringing your lawn chairs or blankets is not only allowed but encouraged.
The Fargo Blues Festival welcomes music lovers of all ages, including children. Kids aged eight and under can enjoy free admission when accompanied by a paid adult ticket. A small kids’ playground is conveniently located near the East Gate.
A campground is located just two blocks away from the stadium, in the Fargodome tailgate lot. Tents can be placed in the shelter belt, and RVs, pop-up campers, vans, cars, and motorcycles are allowed. The campground does not offer water, power, or sewage hookups, but portable toilets are provided.
