Moccasin Creek Festival takes place in Effingham, Illinois. The event is held outdoors, with music presented on three stages called Shady, Main, and Lake. Performances are generally staggered so stages are not running at the same time.

Registered vendors sell food, drinks, and merchandise on site. All ages may attend, and children 15 and under enter free with adult responsibility. Free parking is available within 100 yards, including handicapped parking. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn or folding chairs, with limits on high-back chairs and chair toppers.
