North Liberty Blues & BBQ is a long-running summer event in North Liberty, Iowa, organized by the North Liberty Community Betterment Group. The festival has been taking place for more than 15 years and, best of all, admission is free.
Live music is the centerpiece of the event, with blues acts performing throughout the day.
Food is the other half of the festival. Vendors serve a variety of barbecue including smoked meats and classic sides, along with some vegetarian options.
Beer is also available, making it easy to grab a drink while listening to the bands.
The event is family-friendly as well. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., kids can use the inflatable attractions at no cost.
