SEMBA Festival is presented by the Southeast Minnesota Bluegrass Association (SEMBA), a Minnesota nonprofit. SEMBA formed in September 1998 to promote traditional country and bluegrass music.
SEMBA also organizes two bluegrass festivals each year and coordinates informal jam sessions from October through April. Membership supports a periodic newsletter for members, and contributions are income-tax deductible. The work is supported in part by a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council through Minnesota’s arts and cultural heritage fund.
