The Sioux River Folk Festival has been a beloved tradition for music lovers in South Dakota and beyond. Founded by the South Dakota Friends of Traditional Music, this annual event has been bringing together musicians, artists, and festival-goers since its inception. The Sioux River Folk Festival offers a diverse and talented lineup of musicians. From folk to Americana, bluegrass to country, there’s something for every taste.
One of the highlights of the Sioux River Folk Festival is the Campground Contest. During the Saturday afternoon break, registered acoustic vocal and instrumental acts are given 15 minutes to showcase their skills. Judges rate the performances, and the winner is awarded a cash prize. It’s a celebration of the musical talent within the festival community.
No festival experience is complete without delicious food and refreshing beverages. The Sioux River Folk Festival boasts a variety of food vendors offering a range of culinary delights.
