The South Dakota State Fair has a long and storied history, dating back to its inception in 1885. In 1905, the South Dakota State Fair moved to its current location in Huron, where it continues to thrive to this day. The fairgrounds span over 200 acres and feature state-of-the-art facilities, exhibition halls, and entertainment venues. Every year, the fairgrounds come alive with the sights, sounds, and smells of the South Dakota State Fair.
