The Chosen Few DJs is a group of talented artists who played a pivotal role in shaping the sound of House Music. Founded in 1977 by Wayne Williams, the original group consisted of Williams, Jesse Saunders, Tony Hatchett, Alan King, and Andre Hatchett. These visionary DJs and producers from Chicago’s South Side were at the forefront of the House Music movement, creating a unique and soulful dance music genre.
Since 1990, The Chosen Few DJs have been organizing the annual Chosen Few Picnic & Music Festival. This highly anticipated event draws over 40,000 House Music enthusiasts to Jackson Park in Chicago every July. It is the world’s longest-running event dedicated to House Music, and it continues to grow in popularity year after year.
